People who spend a lot of time in nature are much less prone to nervous disorders.
Scientists from the United States and Australia have concluded that living in harmony with nature can help people overcome many illnesses, including depression and stress.
Medical researchers from the University of Exeter (England) conducted an experiment involving 270 participants. The volunteers varied in age, nationality, income level, and location. The experiment demonstrated that people who spend a lot of time outdoors (or live in a country house) are significantly less susceptible to nervous disorders. They have a more stable psyche, sleep better, and are less susceptible to various illnesses.
According to psychologists, listening to birdsong and watching them outdoors or in the forest is especially beneficial. Even in cold weather, doctors advise not neglecting walks in the park or forest. Skiing is especially beneficial in winter. And in summer, you can go for bike rides through forests or parks. It's also beneficial to sit on the shore with a fishing rod, immersing yourself in the peace and quiet. This will give you a huge boost of energy, breathe in some fresh air, and restore your nervous system.
Research has also shown that city dwellers who live in greener areas suffer less from depression and chronic fatigue.
