“Strichka” – one of the largest electronic festivals in Eastern Europe returns on May 16 and 17. For two days, the Strichkotkatska Fabrika, which became the home of this music marathon, will transform into a multi-genre venue with seven stages and fifty artists in the lineup.
“The twelfth independent music festival “Strichka” is about the sincere joy of big things, which, like a mosaic, consist of small parts. Artists, festival guests, music, fascinating lighting and decorative solutions – all this is combined into a ribbon that flutters on the hand. And it does it again and again,” the organizers of the event say. Among this year's artists: German Lena Willikens (DE), the faces of the French underground scene – Tau Car (FR) and MaximeDB (FR), Credit00 (DE), Trent (IT), Alexis Le-Tan (FR) and 50 more festival artists. An important point is that this year, 11 foreign artists will come to Kyiv, despite martial law. Among the Ukrainian headliners – Alex Savage and Shults. Sashaa, Alpha Centauri (live), Amir and Oleh, ÄSC3EA (live), Borys.

“Strichka” began in 2014 – initially as a chamber party, which over time grew into an annual festival of independent music with its own face and community. Over the past twelve years, the festival has brought together the movers of the electronic scene on stage: Alva Noto, Helena Hauff, Luke Slater, Lil Louis, GAS, DJ Sneak, Rhadoo. The festival is not only about the ears, but also about the eyes. Each time, a team of decorators and media artists creates unique installations here. Lighting solutions emphasize the industrial aesthetics of the factory, turning it into something cosmic. In recent years, the festival has also become a symbol that Ukrainian culture is alive. Even in times of war, “Strichka” continues to bring people together, proving that music is also a form of resistance and a way to maintain mental health.
