Almost always sunny Portugal this time greeted me with rain and wind. On the Atlantic coast, in the Algarve, a city with an authentic atmosphere and narrow streets, the Toyota team organized a presentation of the new product for journalists and editors from all over the world. At the entrance to the hotel, cars were already waiting for us, which immediately hinted: the Toyota C‑HR+ looks bolder and more determined than ever, ready to surprise on the road.

The next day, the weather decided to emphasize the contrast: I set off on a pre-planned route in tandem with the sun and a light breeze – and every kilometer behind the wheel of the new Toyota C-HR+ confirmed that this is a new generation electric crossover. Power up to 343 hp, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and all-wheel drive make it incredibly “alive”, and the 77 kWh battery provides a range of up to 607 km. The car demonstrates the harmony of sporty dynamics and premium comfort, while remaining efficient and economical.
When you press the gas pedal, you feel an unusual but desirable “roaring” character – the car confidently moves forward, accurately responding to every steering movement. The eTNGA platform, low center of gravity and improved suspension provide maneuverability and smoothness of the ride, and regenerative braking makes the journey even more efficient. Every change of speed, every maneuver gives a feeling of freedom and complete control.
The Toyota C‑HR+ interior was a real revelation for me – it is thought out to the smallest detail: it is now more spacious and comfortable, with premium trim, a digital instrument panel and a 14-inch multimedia display. When you get into this car, you immediately feel peace and quiet – even on the highway, the noise of the road outside the window almost does not get inside. Toyota Safety Sense safety systems and smartphone integration provide simplicity and convenience of control, and direct current charging up to 150 kW allows you to charge the battery almost completely in just 30 minutes – and you can go further.
The new Toyota C-HR+ is available in five attractive colours, from classic Platinum Pearl White to new Mineral and Metal Oxide. But its value is not just in its looks: every turn of the steering wheel, every acceleration and every feel of the road are reminders that an electric crossover can be both extremely practical and enjoyable to drive – just what you expect from a modern car.
