Megan Fox Files For Divorce From Brian Austin Green 6 Months After Separating

Megan Fox has finally made the move to make her split from Brian Austin Green official, according to a new report. Interestingly, the exes have reportedly listed much different dates of separation in court documents.

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green‘s split just got even more official. Six months after announcing their separation, Megan has filed to divorce from the Beverly Hills, 90210 star and thus make their split recognized by the court, according to court documents obtained by TMZ on Nov. 25.

Megan and Brian share three sons (Noah, 8, Bodhi, 6, and Journey, 4), whom Megan is asking “joint legal and physical custody” of, TMZ further reported. She also wants to terminate any possibility for Brian and herself to get spousal support, according to the court documents that the outlet reviewed. HollywoodLife can not independently confirm this report at the time, and we have reached out to Megan’s and Brian’s reps for comment.

Brian has even reportedly filed a response “agreeing to almost everything,” per TMZ, although he allegedly wants spousal support to be considered and thus checked that box (no word on child support from either ex, though). However, Megan and Brian put down much different dates than one another when it came to their official date of separation. Megan reportedly listed Nov. 2019 — one whole year ago! — while Brian wrote March 5, 2020 as the day things officially ended between the two after nearly 10 years of marriage.

Brian was the first to confirm the split on his podcast, …With Brian Austin Green, in May of 2020. “It sucks when life changes and something that you’re used to, that you’ve been doing for 15 years, you try and not get rid of but you change. There’s the unknown aspect…there’s that pit in my stomach,” he had admitted at the time. Brian and Megan met nearly two decades ago: he was 30 years old, and she was 18 years old, when they first crossed paths on the set of the sitcom Hope & Faith in 2004. They were engaged two years later, and finally tied the knot in 2010.

Despite their long history with one another, both appeared ready for change. Megan began filming a new movie called Midnight in the Switchgrass with Machine Gun Kelly in March of 2020, and the 30-year-old rocker explained that it was a “love at first sight” type of situation. The romance rumors didn’t start until the co-stars were spotted grabbing takeout food together in Calabasas in May, and co-starred in a steamy music video together for MGK’s song “Bloody Valentine” in the same month. They’ve been inseparable ever since! Megan even introduced MGK at the American Music Awards on Nov. 22, where they made their red carpet debut as a couple.

Meanwhile, Brian has been seen here and there with women like Tina Louise and Courtney Stodden since the split. He hasn’t entered anything too serious, and as for how the actor feels about his ex’s new romance with MGK, a source EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife that “Brian is finally at an OK place with Megan moving on” since he “has finally realized that they are two very different people.”

This isn’t the first time Megan has filed for divorce. She actually filed the same request over “irreconcilable differences” in 2015, although they eventually reconciled and revealed that they were expecting their third child (Journey) by the next year.
