The new film will be based on Sam Wesson's best-selling book Fifth Avenue , 5am : Audrey Hepburn , Breakfast at Tiffany's and the Dawn of the Modern Woman , which tells the behind-the-scenes story of the making of the film. The synopsis states that the story “aims to reveal the woman hidden inside the little black dress and the behind-the-scenes making of the film that captured the nation's imagination in 1961 — as the restrained respectability of the Eisenhower era gave way to the glamorous modernity of the Kennedy era.” Featuring a cast of vibrant characters — including Truman Capote , Edith Head , Givenchy , Moon River composer Henry Mancini , and, of course, the icon Audrey Hepburn herself — the story takes us back to the America of the late 1950s and early 1960s, before Woodstock and the birth control pill, when a seductive girl named Holly Golightly captivated hearts, astonished and forever changed American perceptions of fashion, film, sex, and culture.”

Collins confirmed the news on her Instagram , writing: “After almost a decade of working on the project , we are starting.” The Golden Globe and Emmy nominee will serve as a producer on the project along with her husband Charlie McDowell , but many questions remain unanswered. Who, for example, will play the young Hubert de Givenchy ? Who will embody the unwavering Edith Head? And the grumpy Capote ? And what about the luxurious costumes – not only the famous little black dress, but also hats with bows, casual denim , the perfect trench coat , a dazzling orange coat and a pink cocktail dress, and much more. It seems that we are in for a real fashion extravaganza.
