Congratulations to Jordan Fisher and Ellie Woods! The longtime couple, who met as children, have tied the knot four months after being forced to postpone their dream wedding.
Congratulations are in order for Jordan Fisher and Ellie Woods! The longtime couple married in an intimate ceremony on November 21, four months after they were forced to postpone their wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the circumstances, all was bliss for the Dancing with the Stars champion, 26, and his bride-to-be. Their happy day comes a year and a half after Jordan popped the question, in May 2019.
The couple haven’t posted any photos from their wedding on their respective Instagram pages yet, but Ellie did change her name to Ellie Fisher! Jordan and Ellie started a countdown to their wedding in early November on Instagram. The Work It star posted a sweet throwback photo of himself and Ellie posing on the beach in Sandestin, Florida on November 9, captioned, “Throwwwwwwback to the first getaway with my love. Couple years later, I would propose here. And a year and half later, we’ll be spending our first turkey day here as HUSBAND AND WIFE”.

Elie shared a breathtaking photo of herself and her now-husband on November 6, captioned “15 days.” Back in July, Jordan posted a lovely tribute to their “Ding Day,” the day they were supposed to get married. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, they needed to put their plans on hold. Instead, they celebrated with a romantic dinner in their backyard. “November will be here before we know it! Can’t wait to make you my wife,” he wrote.
Jordan spoke to HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY in October about why he and Ellie wanted to still get married amidst the pandemic. “Ultimately, we both just want to get married,” he explained. “I don’t really care where or when or how — we’re looking we’re looking forward to stepping into that new phase of our lives,” Jordan said. “I’m just really just excited. At this point, we just want it done. We’re just over it, we’re like let’s just freakin’ do it!”

He added that he just wanted to ensure that Ellie still had the wedding of her dreams, even if they had to switch it up a little. “Obviously as things have moved and shifted, but my goal is that happy wife, happy life. My goal is that she is thrilled about everything that’s going on,” he said.
