For the cover of the April 21, 2025, issue, the artist Frank Viva attempts to portray the feelings that grip anyone following the news coming from the White House lately. “I have tried for eight years to do a Trump cover,” Viva said. “Finally, the inspiration for this one was Charlie Chaplin’s prescient 1940 film, ‘The Great Dictator.’ ”
