The oldest carbonated drink in the world
How soon will the light of water appear in the world, if not in the era of the Enlightenment, when intelligence and science were especially mischievous? In 1783, the Swiss pharmacist Jacob Schweppes developed the technology of infusing water with carbon dioxide, creating the world's first tonic or soda, named after the creator – Schweppes. As drinking became more popular, people more often used the laconic “Schweppes” to describe any kind of carbonated water. Thus, the name tonic became part of the slang, and Schweppes itself became a binding ingredient in summer cocktails.
Why is Schweppes so popular?
From the very beginning, the drink was considered to be a premium class product, and not just sparkling water. For example, in the 1800s, the Schweppes crown was enhanced visually by adding the image of a crown to the logo, which became an additional accent of what was delivered to the royal court of Great Britain. For 50 years, in 1851, a fountain was added to the logo: in honor of the London Exhibition, the company provided drinks – in the center of the Crystal Palace stood a great fountain from which Schweppes Malvern Water flowed.
These Schweppes tonics are considered to be a clear product that never lets you down. It is customary to take into account that people take it from themselves because they value the relish and may be able to enjoy it. And the brand’s motto “Fizz it up” literally means “add some sparkle”, which is a call to the current world to quickly add lightness and a welcoming mood, whether in the evening or sleeping hour with loved ones.
Also, Schweppes encourages our thirst for our beloved – our worst enemy. In various countries, the company produces drinks with personalized flavors, such as tangerine in Spain, mint in Italy, and cucumber in the UK. In Ukraine, there are a variety of flavors from the classic to the unconventional: Indian Tonic, Bitter Lemon, Pomegranate, Classic Mojito, Spritz Aperitivo, Tangerine, Pink Tonic and Purple Tonic.

What does the Schweppes logo mean?
Nini Schweppes is produced in 160 countries around the world, and since 1999 the brand has been founded by The Coca-Cola Company. Why should the company carry out a global visual update of the brand?
By the way, the recognition of the logo of the brand with the name placed on the back page becomes more geometric and looks different. The whole thing stuck to the visual significance of the dance: its shape – expanded at the bottom and sounding hot – resembles a champagne dance, as in the first batches of Schweppes of the 19th century. The wool plaques were “cleaned” to look like a treasure: they cleaned up the images of the bulbs and placed the logo widely and prominently. We are especially eager to find out how these innovations were adapted to the Ukrainian market, so we will inevitably joke about them on the shelves at the supermarket.
