Where will the ceremony take place?
The 98th Academy Awards ceremony will, as usual, be held at the Dolby Theatre at the Ovation Hollywood complex in Los Angeles.
Who will host the 2026 Oscars?
Audience favorite comedian Conan O'Brien, who took over from Jimmy Kimmel (host of the 2023 and 2024 ceremonies) last year, will return to the stage as host of this year's show.

Who is nominated for an Oscar in 2026?
The leader in the number of nominations was the film “Sinners”, which received a record 16 nominations – the most in the history of the award.
It is followed by “One Battle After Another” with 13 nominations, and third place is shared by “Frankenstein”, “Marty Supreme” and “Sentimental Value” – each with 9 nominations.
Who can win?
The current favorite for Best Picture is “One Battle After Another,” with director Paul Thomas Anderson a strong contender for Best Director. In the acting categories, Timothée Chalamet for “Marty Supreme” and Jesse Buckley for “Hamnet” are the frontrunners.

But in the supporting categories, the competition is much more intense. Among the actresses, Teyana Taylor (“One Battle After Another”) and Amy Madigan (“Weapons”) are competing. In the male supporting category, the main contenders are Stellan Skarsgård (“Sentimental Value”), Jacob Elordi (“Frankenstein”) and Benicio del Toro (“One Battle After Another”).

Who will perform at the ceremony?
This year, Oscar producers have made a controversial decision: only two songs from the Best Original Song category will be performed live on stage. These are the hit “Golden” from the KPop film Demon Hunters and the emotional “I Lied to You” from the film “Sinners.”
