Kharkiv director Oksana Dmitrieva, watching the vista “Othello” at the Theater on the Left Birch, is working on the vista Brecht.Cabaret. The central work of the production, as they say in the theater, became “Drums of the Night,” written by Brecht after the First World War. At the center of the plot is a soldier who returns home after being in honor of the dead for a long time. The hero’s turn seems unexpected, incomprehensible, and creates a number of psychological and economic problems for these people, which is not enough to please the “Sunday” soldier.

“Polyandry”

Director David Petrosyan, who has directed the productions “The Trial” and “Hedda Gabler” at the Theater on Podol, will stage the play by the Kiev playwright and screenwriter Sergiy Kulibishev on the chamber stage of the Frank Theater. This is the story about the reader Polina, before whom, after the war, a wounded man turns around, and she stumbles before a difficult choice. The song follows the struggles between people that have been replaced by war, and supplies food: what have we lost to ourselves after the trials we have experienced?
We present Marina Koshkina, Tamara Antropova, Roman Yasinovsky.
“P'esa 22, or the Hero's Path”
15th and 16th June, National Opera of Ukraine
“Song 22, or the Path of the Hero” is a song created by veteran Volodymyr Tukaya based on the motives of real songs in the dramaturgical laboratory of the “Veterans Theatre”. Zokrema, Tuka reveals a powerful history, including during the occupation of Kherson, and while serving in the Armed Forces. Director Mikita Polyakov is working on the show, having staged the show “Balance” at the Veterans Theater.
“Dim”

After 20 years of existence, the cult director Andriy Zholdak returns to Ukraine, working on the symbolic title “Dim”.
“I’ve been thinking about putting up “Dim” for a long time. And obviously, putting it in Kiev – the place where my fathers, I and my children were born – was the brainchild,” says Zholdak. “And now, if Ukraine is on death for your future, it is important for me to be here, and in this difficult time to say your enormous and artistic word, to stand together with the Ukrainian actors at the theater, which from the first days of the war you know in your power stand up and cheer up for life and new sensations. This will be about my House, about our House and about this family, and all attempts can be made, as it is a fight for honor and freedom.”

“La Traviata”

The same choreographer and director Radu Poklitaru took on the task of staging the ballet “La Traviata” – to the music of the opera by Giuseppe Verdi. In the theater “Kiev Modern Ballet” they say that the history of kohana, for the sake of forgiveness, is revealed in my daily choreography, revealing “a new look at the plot of the opera known around the world.” The story about Violetta will also be told in a contemporary visual style, and the show will also have a graphic video design and a vibrant light score.
“Working with the Shadow”

In the spring, at the Theater on the Left Birch, we will show the performance “Robot and in the Shadow” directed by Tamara Trunova. The world premiere took place in Chernya near Berlin during the Performing Exiles festival.
“Working in the Shadows” is not devising theatre, they say at the theater: this show begins not with a finished text, but with those with ideas. Zokrema, working on the show, the actors and the director Tamara Trunova had a lot of discussions, talking about films, podcasts, and articles. The featured actors are Oleg Stefan, Irina Mak, Oleksandr Sokolov, Anastasia Pustovit, Dmytro Oliynik, Marina Klimova, Kostyantyn Koretsky, Irina Tkachenko, Irina Lazer.
“I’m talking, it’s dark for you”

One of the most important premieres of the season was the follow-up to the popular novel by Illarion Pavlyuk “I'm waiting for you to die.” The psychological thriller tells the story of criminal psychologist Andriy Gaister, who lives in the village of Buskov Garden while investigating a girl’s history. Arriving at the village, you encounter a large number of residents, who are not interrupted by the girl’s jokes, nor by the threat from the side of a secret maniac on the name of the Beast, nor by those who are forced to overstep I’ll try my best to get out of the village.
The play was performed in collaboration with the Wild Theater and the National Theater named after Maria Zankovetskaya in Lviv, and has 2 seats. Director: Maxim Golenko.
“The Tales of Hoffmann”
Listopad, National Opera

Already at the fall of the leaves on the stage of the National Opera – “The Tales of Hoffmann” by Jacques Offenbach. The plot of the opera, which was first performed in Paris in 1881, is about the romantic poet Hoffmann, who is married to his dreamer Stella. Vin tells three stories about his unlucky farm: the mechanical doll Olympia, Juliet, who is the mirror hero, and the little sleeper Antonia. All the stench is due to Stelly’s singing images, like the hero’s death. “The Tales of Hoffman” on the stage of the National Opera is staged by director Ivan Urivsky, and the costumes are designed by the artist Daria Bila – at the same time Urivsky and Bila have already created the opera “The Golden Hoop” in Lviv this spring.
