The film follows a romantic story between Kate Winslet, who is married to a gangster with a sinister appearance, and Justin Timberlake's character, who plays a lifeguard on the beach. “When I conceived the film, I sat and thought, who could play a colorful lifeguard on the beach from the 1950s? Someone I knew said: what if Timberlake?” – says Woody Allen.
