On March 26, we saw the final episode of the series “Love Story,” which tells the story of the turbulent romance of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. It started a huge wave of admiration for Carolyn's impeccable style and 1990s fashion. Over the course of nine episodes, we saw many impeccable looks, especially for the fall-winter season, but outside the window it is getting warmer every day, and it is interesting to look at her style for spring and summer. We delved into the archives and immediately picked up alternatives from the latest collections of Ukrainian designers.
Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy
Floral dresses
Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy was known for her love of dark, monochrome palettes, which is why this look became a sensation. She once appeared in public in a floral Chanel dress from the spring-summer 1996 collection – with an elegant V-neck and a length just below the knee. She completed her look with minimalist accessories – a classic patent leather Prada tote and black slingbacks with low heels.

Jeans + sleeveless top
Carolyn has proven time and again that it is the “base” that looks expensive thanks to the correct cut and the absence of unnecessary details. One of her most quoted looks for the warm season is a combination of cropped jeans and a sleeveless top. Nothing superfluous, just an emphasis on Prada Tobacco Capretto sandals due to their length and her favorite minimalist watch.

An unexpected accessory
In these photos, Carolyn pairs a light navy shirt with simple straight-leg pants and black loafers with heels. Although Bessette-Kennedy is more often seen with a classic black tote, here she opted for a voluminous raffia bag, which added a relaxed touch to the ensemble. In recent years, raffia has become a symbol of light summer mood even in the metropolis, and our heroine practiced this stylistic trick 30 years ago.

A timeless classic
We can't help but mention one of Bessette-Kennedy's most famous looks – a white shirt and a long black skirt – which at first glance doesn't seem like anything special. But this simplicity is what makes it perfect, because we see not only the clothes, but also the woman behind them.
