Boudoir pants are the minimalist trend to follow this spring

Last summer, it was almost impossible not to come across silk pants on Instagram or in trendy locations around the city. Most often, fashionistas combined them with sneakers and a printed T-shirt. This boudoir mood referred to the overpriced linen shorts of the early 20th century, known as French pantaloons. Instead, this warm season, we will follow the trend for loose, silky and sophisticated boudoir pants. How and with what to wear them, we will tell you below.

Fashion has traditionally gravitated towards a lingerie aesthetic, from one-piece dresses to lace tops and so-called “naked” dresses. And while lingerie as part of the everyday wardrobe can still be questionable, this season the boudoir code is taking on a surprisingly universal appeal.

Boudoir pants are a kind of respite from the era of tight silhouettes and mini lengths. Yes, they are made of silk or satin, but they have a long, loose and relaxed cut. Some models are even complemented by an elastic belt – a detail that a few years ago seemed incompatible with the concept of high fashion. On the catwalks of the spring-summer 2026 season, this silhouette finally consolidated its status: in shades of dark chocolate, butter, cream and deep black, designers offered minimalists an elegant alternative to the usual suit cut.

At Ferragamo, Maximilian Davis turned to the 1920s aesthetic with silk evening trousers paired with a tonal long shirt and a fringed belt inspired by menswear. The look has a slight undertone of closed clubs and cigars in the pool room, but when paired with silver jewelry and a sleek low bun, it becomes a modern, soft take on the power dressing aesthetic.

Schiaparelli also embraced the boudoir trend, presenting a low-cut trouser model in a deep chestnut shade that shimmered in the subdued light of the catwalk. And at Carven, the interpretation was fresher: satin trousers in a bridal white shade with an elastic waistband took on a casual, almost resort-like feel.

Off the runway, the power of boudoir pants lies in their simplicity. They work best with minimalist looks. Already, a navy satin pair pairs easily with a matching cashmere jumper and simple shoes. In spring, brown models should be styled with a white T-shirt, a thin chain pendant and sandals – a formula that has a casual yet sophisticated look.
