The trend of “naked” dresses continues its victorious march. This time, Angelina Jolie succumbed to it – the Hollywood star made a spectacular return to the red carpet. In Paris, the actress presented her new film “Couture”, in which she played the main role. For the event, Jolie chose a “naked” Givenchy dress by Sarah Burton, decorated with silver embroidery in the form of flowers.
Let us recall that “Couture” is a new film by French director Anna Winokur, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in the fall. Critics noted its authenticity and accuracy in understanding how the fashion industry actually functions. The events of the film unfold during Paris Fashion Week: Angelina Jolie plays director Maxine, invited by the French fashion house to create a short film for the opening of the show. Maxine's story is intertwined with the destinies of two other women – South Sudanese model Ada (Anier Aney) and a makeup artist, played by Ella Rumpf – but it is Jolie's heroine who remains the center of this emotional and intense French film. When Maxine learns about her diagnosis, cancer, the film moves into the plane of deep personal drama.
