This revelation was made public in March of 2026 by Peter Jackson via a social media broadcast distributed by Warner Bros., the distributor for the 2027 cinematic offering.
Within the snippet unveiled on March 25th, 2026, Jackson disclosed his intent to provide enthusiasts with an update regarding the Hunt for Gollum episode.
“The script is coalescing quite favorably, and I anticipate it will shape up to be an excellent movie,” the director conveyed, ahead of introducing Colbert as the composing ally in their undertaking.
