A fresh anthology series has been presented by Ryan Murphy, focusing on the connection between the deceased John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, who tragically perished in a 1999 aviation accident. The inaugural chapter of Love Story debuted on FX and Hulu on February 12, 2026, showcasing a host of well-known performers. With Paul Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon embodying the main characters, the supporting cast boasts Naomi Watts, Grace Gummer, and others.
According to FX, the program centers around the “romance that captivated the country.”
“John F. Kennedy Jr. was akin to American royalty,” the summary states. “The nation observed his evolution from boyhood to a cherished bachelor and media figure. Bessette possessed stardom independently. Embodying fierce independence and unique flair, she progressed from a sales position to an executive role at Calvin Klein, gaining trust as a confidante of the brand’s celebrated originator. John and Carolyn’s bond was immediate, intense, and apparent. As their love affair played out publicly, the overwhelming fame and media scrutiny threatened to tear them asunder.”

Sarah Pidgeon – Carolyn Bessette Kennedy
Sarah has enjoyed prominence for a number of years. The thespian, assuming the role of the late Carolyn Bassette, has previously appeared in The Wilds, Tiny Beautiful Things, and, most recently, the 2025 follow-up to I Know What You Did Last Summer.
