In March of 2026, a rumor surfaced online suggesting Hannah was supposedly departing from Idol to ink a record agreement with Dolly Parton‘s Butterfly Records. She quickly dismissed these claims in a playful Instagram update following her advancement into the Top 20.
“TOP 20 did NOT sign a contract and leave the competition,” Hannah expressed in her caption, alongside a crying laughing emoji. “The sheer volume of AI and inaccurate information currently circulating is astounding!”
Earlier in the season, Hannah reflected in a separate Instagram message on the challenging yet rewarding journey Idol has represented.
“This season has challenged me in ways I never anticipated,” she shared via Instagram in January 2026. “It’s easy to become overwhelmed at times, and when that happens, my attention can begin to stray to inappropriate areas. Nevertheless, the objective will always remain constant: to inspire, to encourage, and to direct attention toward the Lord — regardless of the song, the genre, or the environment. American Idol has evoked emotions I’ve never had to confront previously, and I consistently find myself returning to this scripture.”
