As the Crave series Heated Rivalry garners international acclaim, drawing inspiration from her characters and narrative, she’s gearing up to launch book number seven in her Game Changers collection later this year. Entitled Unrivaled, the story will chronicle Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander‘s romance following their (spoiler alert!) wedding.
With the narrative’s following growing, many devotees are keen to know when they can get their hands on book three of the Heated Rivalry series, and more importantly, the story it will tell.

When is Heated Rivalry Book 3 Released? Publication Date
Unrivaled, the third installment in the Heated Rivalry series, initially had a scheduled release date of September 29, 2026, but Rachel was obliged to postpone it to June 1, 2027, owing to a demanding schedule and health concerns as she copes with Parkinson’s disease.
“My life has evolved significantly in recent months, and despite the positive nature of these changes, they have diminished my capacity to dedicate quality time to writing,” the author stated in a February 2026 Instagram video. “Ensuring Unrivaled is the best possible book is my top priority.”
What Is the Storyline of the New Heated Rivalry Book, Unrivaled?
According to the official summary, Unrivaled dives into the consequences of Ilya and Shane’s public declaration and subsequent marriage.
“A boundary has been established — and the hockey realm is split,” the synopsis states. “For the first time in their careers as professional hockey players, Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander have nothing to conceal. They concealed their affection for over a decade, but now they’re out in the open, wedded, and even playing for the same team.”
The description carries on, “The backing is astounding. Often. They’ve been showered with affection from supporters who are overjoyed for them. However, some members of the hockey community are still dealing with the repercussions of their relationship announcement, and the opposition—spearheaded by the prominent hockey podcast Top Shelf and the #TakeBackHockey movement—is intensifying.”

“Ilya and Shane are finally empowered to be united in plain sight, exactly as they had always envisioned. And they may now be confronted with their greatest hurdle yet,” the description concludes.
Will Unrivaled Be the Final Heated Rivalry Book?
Indeed, Unrivaled will mark the conclusion of Ilya and Shane’s narrative. According to the announcement by Barnes & Noble, book number three in the Heated Rivalry series will bring Shane and Ilya’ love affair to a close for their audience.
Are There Plans for Additional Books in the Game Changers Series?
As of this writing, there are no further books scheduled for release in the Game Changers series, aside from Unrivaled.
