Off Campus made its debut as one of the most acclaimed young-adult romance sagas of 2026. Featuring a roster of emerging talents, including Ella Bright, Belmont Cameli, Mika Abdalla, Stephen Kalyn, and others, the Prime Video production was poised for success, largely due to the original book series penned by author Elle Kennedy.
The first season of the series chronicles the journey of music student Hannah Wells (portrayed by Bright) and ice hockey star Garrett (played by Cameli). They enter into a pretend relationship to evoke jealousy in another student towards Hannah. However, as is common in fictional romances, the pair develops genuine feelings for each other, leading to several intimate encounters.
The Prime series achieved significant popularity in mid-2026, becoming one of the most successful television shows of its time, a remarkable achievement following the release of Crave’s Heated Rivalry. With the recent confirmation of a second season, viewers newly drawn to the series are eager to discover more about the plot and the actors involved.
Bright and Cameli share an age difference of nearly 10 years, a fact that initially surprised some viewers. However, the actress expressed no concern regarding the age disparity between herself and her on-screen partner.
“Our deep affection for these characters facilitated the development of our connection,” Bright shared with Vanity Fair regarding Cameli. “Spending extensive time together on set naturally fosters a profound bond. He is among my closest companions.”
