Her most enduring connection from that roster was with an individual she nicknamed “Elder Millennial,” who declared his belief in being in love with her after just three weeks of courtship. She experienced a “faint tremor of customary apprehension in [her] chest” as a result. Ultimately, she disliked his habit of referring to her as his “whore” to entice her, leading her to end things by informing him, “The suggestive banter isn’t quite effective for me.”
