Maisie Williams Hasn’t Met BFF Sophie Turner’s Baby With Joe

When Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas welcomed their daughter Willa in July, the baby became family to a circle of celebrities. There’s aunt Priyanka Chopra, uncles Nick and Kevin Jonas, and Maisie Williams, an unofficial aunt as Turner’s best friend. But while the former Game of Thrones co-stars are undeniably close, Williams has yet to meet Willa in person.

During a recent interview with ELLE.com, Williams confessed she hadn’t been able to see Turner since she welcomed her daughter with Jonas. “No, sadly I haven’t really been traveling much, so I’ve not met the baby!” she explained, adding, “But I have been keeping in touch with the cast. We have a group chat where we all speak, which is really nice.”

Turner has been enjoying the early days of motherhood with Jonas in Los Angeles, while Williams is based in the U.K. with her boyfriend of two years, Reuben Selby. But Williams has had IRL meet-ups with one fellow GoT star. “And I actually live quite close to Kit Harington,” she told ELLE. “So I see him walking his little doggy during lockdown. I’ve seen him a couple of times, which was nice.”

It’s also safe to assume that Williams has gotten a virtual glimpse of Willa. A source told E! that Turner and Jonas have “been texting pictures to friends and calling on FaceTime to show her off. Everyone is very excited for them.” The insider added, “They are home and getting settled. Joe is very hands-on and involved. He wants to do everything he can and loves being with the baby and helping Sophie.”

After COVID-19, Turner and Williams not only plan to reunite, along with Willa, but they’ve even discussed collaborating on a movie. “My best friend Maisie, she and I have a very intense friendship, a friendship that I haven’t had with any of my other girlfriends before,” Turner told Jessica Chastain in a Vogue Paris video in June 2019. “We felt like we wanted to write a movie about a friendship where it’s kind of like you’re soulmates, but you’re friends and it’s like this beautiful connection but it can also be quite destructive.”

We’re counting down the days until their eventual reunion.
