The Chinese luxury beauty specialist is advancing its strategy of acquiring high-end brands. Earlier this month, Ushopal announced the acquisition of heritage French skincare brand Payot.

Founded in 1920 by Dr. Nadia Payot, the brand is renowned for blending scientific innovation with sensorial skincare rituals. Payot has a strong global presence, with products available in over 70 countries and a network of 5,000+ spa and professional beauty partners. According to the brand, their facial treatments are performed 7 million times annually across 30+ countries, making it one of the most recognized names in professional skincare.

Payot’s product range spans facial care, body treatments, and anti-aging solutions, with signature lines such as My Payot, N°2, and Pâte Grise.

Ushopal aims to bring new momentum to Payot to drive growth across international markets. The group said it intends to preserve Payot’s heritage and professional skincare expertise while enhancing its presence through “innovative retail strategies, next-generation consumer experiences, and expanded global distribution.

This acquisition marks another milestone in Ushopal’s strategy to establish itself as a leading global powerhouse in high-end beauty. Ushopal’s portfolio features the British luxury skincare brand Argentum Apothecary, acquired in 2022, along with a strategic investment in the French niche fragrance brand Juliette Has a Gun, among others.
