The Solabia Group further strengthens its position in the cosmetics and healthcare markets with the acquisition of PolymerExpert, a French specialist in high added value polymers.
Based in Pessac, south west of France, PolymerExpert was founded in 2000 by Marc Dolatkhani. The company offers a range of high value-added products for cosmetics (with high-performance polymers of natural origin for applications such as skin care, sun protection and make-up) and healthcare markets (for implantable and non-implantable ophthalmic and medical devices). PolymerExpert controls the entire value chain, from R&D to production, in compliance with the strictest ISO standards and the concept of plant based chemistry.
With this acquisition, which will expand its portfolio of value-added ingredients, Solabia aims to strengthen its activities in the dynamic cosmetics market. In addition, it also hopes to consolidate its positions in healthcare through new development opportunities in this high-potential market.
Marc Dolatkhani, PolymerExpert’s founder, retains a minority stake in PolymerExpert and will remain CEO of the company.
