Michelle Pfeiffer’s Hair Makeover: Actress Debuts Red Hair On ‘French Exit’ Film Set – Before & After Pics

Michelle Pfeiffer is gorgeous no matter what her hair color is. But she left her trademark blonde locks behind to play a red-head in her new film, and fans are loving her new look.

With a face as stunningly beautiful as Michelle Pfeiffer‘s, she can pull off just about any color or shape of wig in a movie and still be the most breathtaking woman on screen. For her latest film French Exit, the 62-year-old beauty donned long red locks to portray Frances Price, a rich and widowed Manhattan socialite who goes broke and moves into a friend’s empty Parisian apartment with her son and cat. Michelle just shared a selfie in character, and fans are wowed by how she looks with red hair.

The film is already completed and actually closed out the recent 2020 New York Film Festival. Now that it will be coming out in some form and likely making an awards season run for Michelle’s role, she’s giving fans a look at her gorgeous red-headed self while on set thanks to an Instagram photo.

On Dec. 2, the actress shared a selfie wearing long red locks and bright red lipstick while appearing to be posing in the film’s costume department room. “Becoming Frances Price. #FrenchExit,” Michelle captioned the photo of her giving a sly grin towards the camera. It is definitely a far cry from her icy blonde locks to play Queen Ingrith in 2019’s Maleficent 2: Mistress of Evil.

Even Michelle’s famous friends had to do a double take. Chelsea Handler wrote, “I thought that was @brycedhoward,” as fan @amalsmalls told Chelsea, “May as well be! They’re both aging beautifully and I’m annoyed,” while user @hb341 wrote, “@chelseahandler no she looks like @jessicachastain.” Both actresses are gorgeous natural red heads, so Michelle should take the comments as compliments!

Michelle got another rave from user @barbie_paschali, who told the actress, “You look exactly how I imagined Frances when reading the book!!! Can’t wait to watch this!” The movie is based on the 2018 novel by Canadian author Patrick deWitt. The film’s release is scheduled for Feb. 21, 2021, but due to theaters still being closed due to COVID-19, it’s unclear how the release for French Exit will be handled, as via a streaming service or other means.
