Stars love to surprise us with new bobs, and this week it's French actress Isabelle Huppert's turn. She showed up at the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival photocall with her usual shoulder-length waves, and just hours later, she hit the red carpet with a sleek, defined bob.
Huppert was in Berlin to promote her new film, “The Blood Countess,” a fantasy horror film directed by Ulrike Oettinger. For the daytime photoshoot, the actress posed with slightly tousled waves, parted in a straight line, and natural gray hair at the roots.

However, before the evening premiere, she radically changed her look. The change was made by stylist John Nolle (whose clients include Pamela Anderson and Vanessa Paradis), who cut off a few centimeters of length. The actress paired the new graphic cut with a black ballgown, shirt and tie by Balenciaga.

This isn't the first time Isabelle Huppert has stepped out on the red carpet with a radical hairdo. At the 81st annual Venice International Film Festival, she accessorized her wavy strawberry blonde bob with a beret adorned with jewels. At 72, Huppert is masterfully embodying French glamour, and she does so no matter what city in the world she's in.
