This summer, the French manufacturer and supplier of cosmetic active ingredients received a second prize for its active ingredient Inclusium, just a few months after receiving the ICIC Award. The beauty ingredient was named winner of the Ringier Technology Innovation Award in the Anti-aging Ingredients category.
To develop this active ingredient, Silab used a unique approach, by identifying the main skin characteristics of consumers according to ethnicity, gender, and age. The three major beauty axes that emerge are all run by biological mechanisms taking effect in the dermis and epidermis. Silab thus implemented a large-scale exploratory study using tissue engineering and transcriptomics. Five clinical studies were conducted on mixed gender groups with young and mature volunteers (Caucasian, Asian, Latin-American and Afro-American).
According to Silab, Inclusium meets universal cosmetic expectations thanks to its hydra-smoothing and complexion perfector powers as of 7 days of treatment, as well as its clinically proven anti-aging effect.
“We are proud to receive this new award. It is proof that the transversal efficacy of our active ingredient is drawing the interest of the global cosmetics industry, thanks to its ability to sublimate all skin types,” commented Brigitte Closs-Gonthier, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of R&D, Quality and Communication at Silab.
EcoVadis Platinum Medal
Very recently, Silab’s CSR achievements were also rewarded with Platinum status from the EcoVadis rating platform.
Silab has achieved a higher EcoVadis score than the previous year, reaching for the first time an “excellent” performance in all areas assessed (Environment, Labor & Human rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement). The company thus positions itself in the top 1% of the world’s best-rated companies.
