What is a leavening agent in perfumery?
Casts are original fragrances cast into new, smaller bottles (atomizers) from branded bottles. That is, the store buys a large bottle of perfume and divides it into parts.
Of course, 100 ml of perfume for drinking will cost more than 100 ml in a bottle, because it makes no sense for the store to sell at the same price – they won't win anything, and they'll also waste their money (atomizers aren't free). But miniatures have many advantages, which is why they are loved and bought…
Fragrance test drive
For me, aftershaves are, first of all, a great opportunity to get acquainted with fragrances. You can, of course, go to a perfume store and try a fragrance. But it often happens that at first you really like the smell, but by the evening it is already unpleasant or it starts to give you a headache because it is suffocating or something else.
And it's quite difficult to understand something on the first try. Let's say you test a perfume at the end of summer, and in this warm weather you like it. You buy it, but almost immediately autumn comes and it becomes clear – in rainy weather this fragrance reveals itself terribly.
Sometimes even mood plays a role – I remember once at the airport before flying home I really liked the Arabic Kajal. Of course, I bought it. The price was tempting… But when I flew home, after a few days the holiday mood began to leave me, and the oriental fragrance did not seem so wonderful anymore. It was so loud and thick that I could not wear it. It was a pity to throw 200 euros to the wind. I also did not manage to sell it – there are few connoisseurs of the East here.
After this incident, I started playing it safe and first buying elixirs of perfumes that were interesting to me. 5 milliliters is quite enough to understand the aroma and have time to “spread” it (I usually have enough for an average of two weeks). And if you don't fall in love with one of these fragrances, it doesn't hit your pocket that hard. But if you really like the fragrance, you can safely bottle it. So at one time I fell in love with Devils Intrigue (HFC).
Access to the suite
A perfume is also an opportunity to have an expensive perfume. Not everyone can afford to buy bottles of perfume for 10-20 thousand. And even if there is an opportunity, for me, for example, one fragrance is not enough. I want at least 5 different perfumes for one season. Spending a fortune on them seems like madness, so it's easier to buy perfumes.
If I know that I will use a certain perfume often, I take a larger 10 ml eau de parfum. That's how I got Tilia (Marc-Antoine Barrois) and Marfa (MEMO). Instead of about 20 thousand for 2 bottles, I spent 2500 hryvnias for 2 large eau de parfums.
Wardrobe variety
Perfumes are not only an opportunity to buy expensive perfume with any salary, but also to buy several different perfumes instead of one bottle. Diversify your perfume wardrobe.
And new smells form new neural connections in us – so indirectly we also develop our brain. That's how.
Finally, I want to say that perfume bottles are a breeding ground for scammers, since the buyer cannot see the original bottle. It is worth buying only from trusted sellers with a reputation.
