The personal care ingredients provider has introduced a new “versatile and easy-to-handle solution” designed to protect the scalp from dandruff and oiliness. Suitable for a wide range of hair and scalp care products, Crinipan PO Plus combines established ingredients and innovative substances. As such, it joins Symrise’s portfolio of solutions for dandruff control.
Actually, Crinipan PO Plus takes a novel, multi- ingredient approach to dandruff control. The solution combines the renowned anti-dandruff agent piroctone olamine with modern ingredients such as decylene glycol and 1,2-hexanediol.
The product is targeting Malassezia yeasts and thus helping to reduce dandruff on the scalp and consequently also redness. This also results from its efficacy against Staphylococcus aureus, also contributing to a reduction of sebum.
According to Symrise, formulators can easily use the new hair care solution, which requires no heating to be incorporated into formulations. Furthermore, contrary to piroctone olamine, which comes in a powder format, Crinipan PO Plus comes as a liquid solution. With its improved solubility, it works well in shampoos, serums, and rinse-off and leave-on conditioners.
