On the most romantic day of the year, February 14, the star of the TV series “Stranger Things” Maya Hawke married her longtime lover, musician Christian Lee Gatson. The ceremony took place in New York, Ukr.Media reports.
The daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman chose a symbolic date for the ceremony – Valentine's Day. The celebration was attended by her famous parents, as well as colleagues from “Strange Wonders”: Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery.
From friendship to love
The relationship between 27-year-old Maya and 35-year-old Gatson developed gradually. Before the beginning of the novel, they were friends for a long time and worked together on musical projects. Rumors of an engagement appeared back in 2025, when the actress was spotted with a ring on her ring finger.
Hawke herself did not hide her happiness in her personal life. In one of the interviews, she admitted that she considers a relationship with a friend to be the best scenario for love.
