Tim Burton has brought his main muse, Winona Ryder, to the series. Fan threads on X are already abuzz with theories that she is somehow connected to the Addams Family's darkest past.

Also added is Lena Headey. Cersei Lannister from Game of Thrones in Wednesday's world? She can destroy monsters with just a look. Also in the cast are Andrew McCarthy and James Lance (Trent Crimm from Ted Lasso). Who they'll play is a complete mystery, but the stardom level is decent.

Secret codes and release date: what can fans expect?

Of course, Netflix couldn't just release the announcement. They posted an encrypted video with hidden letters.

Two main theories are currently circulating: either this is a hint at a new elite secret society operating somewhere in Europe, or it's a coded name for the new main antagonist.

And now about the release date. Not before mid-2027. Yes, due to the complex filming process and the actors' busy schedules, the wait will be over a year. But with such a cast, it's worth waiting.
