For the issue of November 17, 2025, the artist Edel Rodriguez crafted a cover displaying the incoming New York City mayor, Zohran Mamdani, within the subway system. Rodriguez stated, “Mamdani devoted a great deal of his campaign time in the city, frequenting local shops, commuting with taxi personnel, posing queries, enjoying moments, and expressing amusement. He communicated to everyone he met that he identifies with them.”
