Many wear their hearts on their sleeves, but in the case of Drake’s adorable son, the young Adonis wears his heart in an elaborate set of braids.
Drake didn’t caption the photo of his son, Adonis Graham, that he posted to his Instagram Story on Nov. 29, but he didn’t have to. In the shot, the 3-year-old Adonis points to a giant, framed version of the photo of him with his dad that Drake, 29, shared in March. In the old photo, Adonis’s hair is free and frizzy, but in this new picture? His locks have been tamed and braided to form a series of hearts on the back of his head. That alone would make this photo one of the cutest shots today, but the fact that he’s pointing to his daddy? Priceless.

This new photo was shared two days after Drake posted an IG shot of him napping next to his young son. While Adonis, his hair in braids, is busy snacking while watching something offscreen, Drake decided to catch a few Zzzzs while snuggled next to his boy. This flipping-the-script – usually, it’s the child who naps while their dad watches TV – was too cute for many, including some of Drake’s famous friends. “Now, this is beautiful,” wrote Justin Bieber. Chance The Rapper posted two “Flexed Biceps” emojis, representing the “strength” of Drake and Adonis’s love. DJ Khaled posted two crowns – for two kings – and a series of exclamation points. Rapper Ob Obrien said, “Fresh braid up. Ketchup chips. Dads the goat. Life is good. * future voice*.”

Adonis was pointing to a picture from the professional photoshoot with his father. Drake shared a few pictures from this on March 30, right as the COVID-19 pandemic was ramping up in North America. “What is most important for you right now is to connect to your own inner light. This will create the biggest opening of all. Trust that you have all of the power within to make this happen, and to do that connect to the people and things that bring you a lot of joy,” wrote Drake, a message that could be interpreted to be for his followers, or directed to his son.
“You have the biggest heart, and that is your greatest gift. It’s impossible to always control your surroundings,” he added, “but when you shift the focus to how you want to feel, everything will conspire to assist you. I love and miss my beautiful family and friends, and I can’t wait for the joyful day when we are all able to reunite. Until then, please keep your lights on.”

Adonis celebrated his third birthday on Oct. 11 with a balloon-filled party thrown at his fathers’ home. “Young Stunna,” Drake captioned the Instagram photo showing his and Sophie Brussaux’s baby boy. I’m so proud of the little man you’re becoming, I love you more than life. The world is YOURS! We did that @champagnepapi,” she captioned the photo she posted to her Instagram.
