The recipients of the in-cosmetics Asia 2025 Prizes have been newly declared, honouring the most groundbreaking cosmetic elements introduced during the past eight months.
A record-setting 120 submissions were tendered this year, commending the premier new Innovation Zone active and functional ingredient offerings, coupled with the Spotlight On Formulation Awards evaluated live at the event.
The assessment team encompassed worldwide cosmetic experts, R&D executives, and product creators from top brands, such as L’Oréal, Estée Lauder, Amorepacific, and Paragon Corp. They examined submissions based on standards of ingenuity, effectiveness, and relevance to the marketplace.
Active ingredients
In the Actives category for 2025, the top honour was bestowed upon ArrowBiome Pte. Ltd. for ArcherZyme, the foremost clinically authenticated lysin globally for managing body odour, revolutionising unpleasant odour defence technology. With clinical proof revealing quick, sustained freshness using merely 0.01%, ArcherZyme presents a sustainable, cruelty-free, and biodegradable substitute for conventional deodorant agents.
Hallstar was presented with the silver recognition for UBI Oléoactif, which aids skin invigoration via an original biological process impacting ubiquitin – a crucial cellular protein. Within the Functional Category for 2025, the main prize was awarded to Momentive Performance Materials for their Harmonie NatuVel gel. Tailored for skincare and tinted makeup items, it facilitates entirely natural preparations devoid of compromising performance levels or luxurious feel.
Dow secured the Silver Prize for their Dexcare CD-2 Polymer element, which reimagines eco-friendly haircare utilizing a biofermented dextran foundation originating from non-GMO sugarcane. This decomposable polymer heightens deposition, amplifies foaming action within sulfate-free frameworks, and refines wet and dry brushing for more sleek, controllable tresses.
Bronze was given to Hallstar for Olivem Essenza, an organically sourced O/W emulsifier conceived for low-thickness mixtures exhibiting a subtle, hydrating sensation. Functioning as a biomimetic liquid crystal generator, it imparts moisture and constancy while encouraging streamlined, environmentally conscious formulation blueprints.
Spotlight On Formulation Awards
Celebrating ingenuity and scientific prowess within cosmetic biotechnology, the Spotlight On Formulation Gold Award was claimed by Solabia Group for Serenibiome, a dual-trademarked active component established to mend skin susceptibility and aid in stopping the itch-scratch recurrence. Evonik achieved Silver for X50 NeoSyno-Col, a ground-breaking “Cosmetic Drone” crafted to elevate skin adaptability, firmness and concentration via pinpointed dermal conveyance.
