In a conversation with her *Lemonade Mouth* co-star Naomi Scott for Hero magazine in October 2024, Bridgit elaborated on her company’s objectives. Describing Northwood as a “different kind of space company,” Bridgit explained that they “transmit data for satellites using large ground-based antennas.”

“Essentially, the space industry was designed for bespoke government missions, involving a few satellites,” she elaborated. “However, we now have a thriving commercial space sector launching numerous satellites, and soon there will be hundreds of thousands in orbit. Therefore, a new approach was needed to accommodate this expansion. Reflecting on my family’s values, I was raised with the principle of ‘doing something meaningful with your life.’ Considering the transformations I’ve witnessed, especially for us millennials who’ve experienced the pre- and post-Internet eras, we’ve seen significant communication revolutions.”
Bridgit’s academic achievements from MIT and Harvard have evidently proven fruitful. During their interview, Naomi playfully remarked that Bridgit had recently told her, “I’m going to pursue a law degree at Harvard.” Naomi admitted, “I can never keep up. I think my favorite aspect of our friendship is Bridgit having to re-explain everything to me every time we reconnect.”

No, Bridgit clarified that the unexpected release of the *Once Again* EP on Spotify was not her doing.
“My apologies for disappointing everyone, the Spotify release was not from me!” she stated in a tweet on June 10, 2026. Just days earlier, a new EP named *Once Again*, featuring tracks such as “Flowers,” “Cold,” “Mercy,” “Long Run,” “Loyalties,” and “Oxygen,” appeared on Bridgit’s Spotify and Apple Music accounts under the “new release” category, much to the delight of Disney Channel fans.

Will Bridgit Mendler Ever Make New Music?
While Bridgit hasn’t definitively ruled out creating new music, her current focus is on her entrepreneurial venture. In a subsequent tweet addressing the 2026 EP rumors, the *Wizards of Waverly Place* alum wrote, “When it is [me releasing new music], trust me, you’ll know ;),” a statement fans interpreted as a positive indication.
During her 2024 conversation with Naomi for Hero, Bridgit shared her reasons for stepping back from the music industry.
“At a certain point with music, I just couldn’t find the right collaborators,” she explained. “I’ve experimented with production on my own and greatly admire artists who achieve self-sufficiency in that area. While I believe I could do it, there’s also immense pleasure derived from creating music collaboratively.”
