Taylor Swift is renowned for embedding hidden messages for her admirers to decipher, but her most recent hint resulted in one of the year’s most significant entertainment collaborations. Following days of conjecture, the global music icon updated her website with a countdown featuring visuals from Toy Story 5, including Jessie, Bullseye, and a prominent display board marked with “TS” in the franchise’s distinctive typeface. As the countdown concluded on June 1, Swift formally announced her contribution: she had penned and recorded an original song for the highly anticipated sequel from Disney and Pixar.

The song, christened “I Knew It, I Knew You,” draws inspiration from Jessie and represents a notable musical addition to the movie. Swift subsequently performed the piece at the film’s Hollywood premiere, where she also joined forces with composer Randy Newman for a rendition of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.”

The fifth installment in the Toy Story saga will center on Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and their loyal companions as they confront a potential major threat to their bond with Bonnie: contemporary technology. The young girl has become captivated by her new “Lilypad” frog tablet.

So, what precisely is Swift’s involvement in Toy Story 5? Hollywood Life provides all the details regarding Swift’s connection to the film below.

As her devoted fans are aware, Swift previously voiced the character Audrey in The Lorax. Her acting credits also include appearances in the films Valentine’s Day, The Giver, Cats, and Amsterdam.

Swift confirmed on her official website that she penned a song for Toy Story 5, titled “I Knew It, I Knew You.”
