Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein are introducing workplace intrigue in their new romantic comedy, Office Romance. The “On the Floor” singer and Marry Me star have joined forces with the Ted Lasso actor in the racy film, which he penned with her in mind.
“So, it was me and Joe Kelly [who] wrote it, and we were on a train,” Brett shared with E! News prior to the movie’s premiere. “We were working on Ted Lasso. We were traveling from Manchester to London by train, and we wanted to create something together. What did we wish to create? We desired to craft a classic rom-com. And we pondered, ‘Who is the premier rom-com performer?’ And it came down to J.Lo. And that was it, that was the reason. We aimed to produce the ultimate J.Lo rom-com.”
Jennifer expressed she was “truly taken aback” by this. “Like, they’ll compose something and then declare, ‘Okay, she’d be perfect for that.’ But to write it with you specifically in consideration is a completely different matter, and it was quite flattering,” she elaborated.
