Jennifer Lopez‘s journey has been abundant with fashion, music, and romance! Throughout her extensive career, the performer has been connected to various partners at different junctures of her life. While striving to maintain the privacy of her personal life, her past relationships became increasingly known to the public.
The love life of the star from *Hustlers* has truly been legendary. At various points in her career, J.Lo has found love, become a mother, and, for a time, was once again part of one of Hollywood’s most prominent couples with ex Ben Affleck. The pair were famously known for their whirlwind romance from 2002 to 2004, leading to an engagement featuring a pink diamond. After rekindling their affection decades later and marrying, their union concluded not long afterward.
Presently, Jennifer is embracing her single status, a point she emphasized during a May 2026 interview with Jimmy Kimmel. When the comedian inquired if she would be interested in starring in *The Bachelorette*, J.Lo declined, stating, “No. Are you crazy? I’m not doing anything to ruin how I feel right now. It’s fantastic, I love it.”
“I am [single]. I should have done it sooner,” she humorously remarked. “I’ve been doing it all wrong.”

The former pair exchanged vows in February 1997, having met at Gloria Estefan‘s restaurant where Ojani was employed as a waiter. This occurred during a period when Jennifer’s career was just beginning to gain momentum in Hollywood. In the same year she married Ojani, Jennifer starred in *Selena*, the biographical film chronicling the life of Latinx singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez. J.Lo received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in the movie, but while her professional life soared, her marriage faltered. Ojani and J.Lo divorced by 1998.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs

The duo dated in the late 90s and encountered legal difficulties when they were both detained on charges of criminal weapon possession following an incident outside a nightclub! Although J.Lo was eventually cleared, having had no involvement or knowledge of the crime, Diddy faced charges and was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury. J.Lo opted to end her relationship with the music executive.
Cris Judd

The two were instantly captivated by each other, and after a brief and intense love affair, they were wed in September 2001. Regrettably, this romance proved to be short-lived. The couple divorced by June 2002, less than a year after their ceremony. Nevertheless, during their marriage, they made several public appearances, such as the one depicted above at the Academy Awards in March 2002.
Ben Affleck

Following her second divorce, the singer and actress began a relationship with Oscar winner Ben Affleck. The press coined them the couple name “Bennifer.” Within less than a year of dating, Jennifer and Ben became engaged in November 2002. The couple appeared together in several films, including *Gigli* and *Jersey Girl*. In September 2003, the couple announced they were postponing their wedding just one day before the ceremony. By January 2004, the two had officially ended their relationship.
Jennifer’s breakup with Ben was her most challenging to overcome, which she described as her “first real heartbreak” in her 2014 book *True Love*. Since that time, however, the two have maintained a seemingly amicable connection. Ben even spoke highly of J.Lo after seeing her in the 2019 film *Hustlers*, stating that his former flame was “awesome.”
Marc Anthony

Less than two years after their wedding, J.Lo became a mother to the couple’s twins, Emme Maribel Muñiz and Maximilian David Muñiz, who are now 14 years old. Marc and J.Lo appeared to share an incredible bond.
The couple frequently performed on stage together and were notably dedicated to raising their children. Unfortunately, by July 2011, the couple announced their separation, and their divorce was finalized in June 2014. While J.Lo retains primary physical custody of the two children, she and Marc have been observed supporting their youngsters at school events and other occasions!
Casper Smart

Between 2011 and 2016, Casper and J.Lo experienced the ups and downs of maintaining their romance or parting ways. By the time the pair officially ended things in 2016, it appeared the “On The Floor” singer was becoming close with rapper Drake! In 2016, the duo shared identical flirty photos on their respective Instagram accounts, without any captions. They never confirmed their relationship, but J.Lo has made a few subtle remarks about the rapper in recent years.
Alex Rodriguez

In February 2017, J.Lo began dating former Yankees player Alex Rodriguez, and the couple rapidly became one of Hollywood’s most talked-about pairs. They were clearly devoted to each other. Alex, for his part, was exceptionally supportive of his beloved, attending premieres, cheering J.Lo on at her concerts, and looking immensely proud of her on numerous occasions!
Their romantic journey culminated in March 2019 when Alex proposed marriage to the singer, and J.Lo accepted! The couple had intended to marry in 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a postponement of their nuptials. Despite this setback, J-Rod appeared content and spent their lockdown period enjoying time with their children, including Alex’s daughters Natasha Alexander Rodriguez and Ella Alexander Rodriguez.
Sadly, this fairytale romance did not have a storybook ending. In March 2021, J.Lo and A-Rod reportedly announced their separation, only to quickly issue a statement insisting they were working on their relationship. However, a few weeks later, on April 15th, the pair officially terminated their engagement. “We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have is to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support,” read the statement provided to the Today Show.
Ben Affleck 2.0

Following Jennifer and Alex’s April 15, 2021 announcement that they were parting ways for good and were better off as “friends,” Jennifer was seen spending time with Ben in Los Angeles on April 30. He was photographed exiting her white SUV, but reports indicated that the two were simply reconnecting and enjoying each other’s company as friends. However, the pair seemed to advance their connection by embarking on a week-long getaway to Montana a few days later.
After J.Lo performed and Ben participated in the taping of the May 2 Vax Live event in L.A., they reportedly boarded a plane and traveled to the exclusive Yellowstone Club in Montana, where the couple spent the week. Ben and Jen appeared very much like a “couple,” a source informed TMZ, which initially reported on the trip. They traveled in the same SUV with Ben driving and Jennifer in the passenger seat, according to photos published by the Daily Mail, showing the pair cruising through Montana.
The couple openly celebrated her 52nd birthday with a lavish yacht excursion in Europe, displaying public affection for fans and the paparazzi, effectively confirming their romance to all. In the subsequent months, Bennifer began to integrate their families, including her twins Max and Emme, and his three children Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.

In news that came as little surprise, Jennifer confirmed her engagement to Ben, this time with a highly unusual green diamond ring. She showcased the stunning jewel, estimated to be valued at $5 million, in a video shared via her OnTheJLo fan newsletter. “I have a really exciting and special story to share, if you’re not part of my inner circle — you have to go to OnTheJLo.com to hear this one,” she teased, directing fans to the brief video featuring the magnificent ring.
According to the marriage license obtained by Hollywood Life, the iconic duo officially became husband and wife in Clark County, Nevada, in July 2022. The couple exchanged vows in Las Vegas after obtaining their marriage license, but they held a celebratory gathering with friends and family on August 20th at Ben’s estate in Georgia. Jennifer looked radiant in a stunning white wedding gown with a feather skirt and a dramatic veil, while Ben looked dapper in a white tuxedo suit. Among their special guests were Matt Damon, Kevin Smith, and numerous family members, including Ben’s mother and Jennifer’s sisters. Ben’s children Violet, Seraphina, and Sam were also in attendance, as were Jennifer’s twins, Emme and Max.
Regrettably, not all love stories endure indefinitely. Jennifer and Ben parted ways in April 2024, and their divorce was finalized in January 2025.
