“Lemieux established his postseason legacy and secured his first Cup as a rookie in 1986, when he netted 10 goals in the Playoffs for the Montreal Canadiens,” Bettman remarked. “He earned the Conn Smythe Trophy as the Playoffs MVP in 1995, scoring 13 goals in 20 postseason contests with the New Jersey Devils. Furthermore, he was a vital component of Cup-winning rosters in Colorado in 1996 and again with New Jersey in 2000.
