On April 28, the most anticipated show of the season took place in Biarritz – Mathieu Blazy's debut cruise show for Chanel. The choice of this French resort is not accidental – it was here in 1915, at the height of World War I, that Coco Chanel opened her first boutique outside of Paris. The collection is predictably inspired by a seaside vacation – on the catwalk we saw dresses as if covered in fish scales, swimsuits combined with jackets, hats resembling swimming caps, as well as vests in all their diversity. Among the guests who were able to see this beauty first were Nicole Kidman, Tilda Swinton and Marion Cotillard.
