Mathieu Blasi headed to the west coast to present his first Chanel Cruise show of the 2026/2027 season. The location was Biarritz, a city particularly important to Gabrielle Chanel, so much so that it was here in 1915 that she opened her first fashion house outside of Paris.
Against the backdrop of the ocean, in a salon dominated by the House's signature shades of beige and black, the designer presented a collection inspired by the energy of the place: water, sea breeze and beach. The collection featured couture swim caps, bags decorated with sea creatures, reinterpreted sandals and other expressive details.

A feather-adorned look at the Chanel Cruise 2026/2027 show
Alongside these fashion highlights, a bold beauty decision attracted particular attention at the Chanel Cruise 2026/2027 show: eyelids decorated with colored feathers. Lucia Pica, the show's makeup artist, decided to decorate the eyes of individual models with beige and red feathers, sprinkled with the same shimmering sequins that shone on the outfits. The bright makeup accent gave the models' looks a poetic expression.

The look took on a grandiose feel: the decorative elements extended a few centimeters to the side of the head. The result was both poetic and natural. The feathers moved with the models' steps, as if caught in the sea breeze. This expressive makeup touch was combined with an almost imperceptible radiant, as if wet skin tone and carelessly wavy hair, which created the impression that the models had just emerged from the ocean.
