Affirmative. Based on multiple news sources, Sydney was allegedly on her way to the filming location in the summer of 2025 to film a short cameo for the film.
Entertainment Weekly posted on April 21, 2026, that the Housemaid actress was supposed to show up at the start of The Devil Wears Prada 2 in a short scene playing one of Emily’s (Emily Blunt) high-profile customers that she is styling at the Dior studios. Sydney acted as herself in the three-minute scene, according to EW.
Was Sydney Sweeney’s Devil Wears Prada 2 Cameo Removed?
Indeed, per EW, Sydney’s cameo didn’t make it into the movie’s final form because her brief segment didn’t mesh “structurally with the rest of the sequence,” a source revealed to the outlet. The creative team for the picture, however, was “appreciative” of Sydney’s involvement, and the choice to omit her was “challenging” for them, the media site stated.
Around the same time Sydney was reportedly spotted going to the movie set, the Euphoria performer received criticism over her American Eagle “Great Jeans” marketing campaign. The debate resulted in political divide, and Sydney eventually spoke about the critique.
“I was genuinely taken aback by the response,” Sydney expressed to People in December 2025. “I participated due to my affection for the jeans and my fondness for the brand. I do not support the viewpoints certain people chose to link to the campaign. Numerous individuals have assigned intentions and labels to me that simply aren’t accurate.”
She went on to add, “Anyone familiar with me is aware that I consistently aim to unite individuals. I oppose animosity and separation,” she declares. “Historically, my approach has been to abstain from reacting to either unfavorable or favorable press, but lately, I’ve come to the understanding that my lack of response regarding this matter has only amplified the discord, not diminished it.”
