Get ready for some bewitching magic! Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are reuniting in Practical Magic 2, a follow-up to their beloved 1995 enchanting romantic movie. Warner Bros. revealed the premiere date and additional specifics via a May 2025 Instagram update, which showcased Sandra and Nicole in a voiceover saying, “Tooth of wolf and morning dew / something old and something new.”
“The incantation is spoken. The day is here. Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are back,” Warner Bros. declared in its Instagram announcement.
With under half a year remaining until the sequel’s debut, Warner Bros. has presented its authorized preview — offering glimpses of other actors joining the ensemble.

When Will Practical Magic 2 Premiere? Launch Date
Practical Magic 2 is slated for theatrical release exclusively on September 18, 2026. Over the intervening years, Sandra and Nicole have been forthcoming about their collaboration on the initial film. During a past interview on Today, Sandra remembered having “a genuinely fantastic time” alongside Nicole on set.
“And the truth is, we share virtually nothing, save for gathering at the dinner table with wine where everything merges,” the Academy Award recipient joked, prior to recalling the iconic margaritas scene. “We weren’t inebriated during the close-ups or when we filmed these segments. However, we were tasked with re-filming a distant scene with us lying down, and Nicole took the initiative, placing the bottle on the table with the remark, ‘Why shouldn’t we be tipsy here?’ To which I responded, ‘You’re right, why not?’”

Practical Magic 2 Actors
Our two original cast members returning for Practical Magic 2 include Sandra and Nicole. As per its IMDb synopsis, the movie will center on a “multi-generational lineage of sorceresses, cursed to remain without love for centuries, [who] endeavor to nullify the hex by confronting somber truths and making sacrifices for each other.”
Nicole verified in June 2024 that both she and Sandra were developing a sequel, hinting that “more remains to be told” in the tale, as per her discussion with People.
“Yes, I’m involved. Sandy will be too. That settles it,” Nicole stated. “There’s still more to uncover, hence our excitement to say, ‘Okay, this feels promising for another chapter.’”
Additionally, the cast boasts Gen-Z talents Joey King and Maisie Williams, in addition to Dianne West, Stockard Channing and Lee Pace.
