Women start snoring when they're in love.

Love can lead not only to psychological problems, but also cause breathing problems.

A team of researchers from the University of Peterborough, led by Dr. Jenny Chapman, conducted an experiment involving young women and girls aged 18 to 34 in love, writes Raut.ru.

124 women were invited to participate in experiments along with their partners. They were placed in a nursing home where digital sensors detecting sound vibrations were installed in their rooms. A week later, the scientists collected data from the devices and analyzed the findings. It turned out that the women who experienced the deepest attachment to their partner were the ones who snored most at night. Incidentally, some men were no less vocal. However, the men's increased decibels were not related to their feelings of love.

The study also revealed that if couples had argued, they snored less during their nighttime rest, or even stopped making vibrating throat sounds altogether. Professor Michael Hewitt of the Northern Ireland Institute believes this process deserves more in-depth and long-term study. Therefore, in the near future, a team of specialists led by him will conduct new research into the influence of emotions on snoring.

Previously, American scientists came to unexpected conclusions after numerous studies of breathing disorders. Researchers from the University of Colorado found that only beautiful women snore. The main threat of snoring is not marital breakdown, as some couples believe, but obstructive sleep apnea, which can lead to respiratory arrest. Each year, approximately 100,000 women die from the consequences of snoring. Moreover, most of these deaths occur in women with ideal appearance.
