“Sons of Anarchy”, 2008–2014

One of Charlie Hunnam's most famous works is the role of Jackson “Jax” Teller in the TV series “Sons of Anarchy”. Hunnam's character was first the vice president and then the president of the club. Brotherhood, loyalty, betrayal and redemption are the main themes of the show. This series has consistently received positive reviews throughout its existence, while collecting numerous nominations and awards.
“Sword of King Arthur”, 2017

Jude Law, Charlie Hunnam and David Beckham – British director Guy Ritchie, as always, has assembled a great company for his film. This interpretation of the famous legend tells of Arthur's youth: he lives in the dangerous areas of Londinium, leads his own gang and knows nothing about his origins. But one day he will have to learn about his power, pull the sword Excalibur from the stone and stand against the tyrant Vortigern. The main villain is played, of course, by Jude Law, but Arthur was played by Charlie Hunnam.
“Butterfly”, 2017

This film is a remake of the 1973 film of the same name, which starred Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman. In the 2017 film, their characters were played by Charlie Hunnam and Rami Malek. French criminal Henri Charrier (Hannnam), nicknamed Butterfly because of the tattoo on his chest, a safecracker, exiled to a remote island from which no one has ever managed to escape, escapes with the help of counterfeiter Louis Degas (Rami Malek). The plot of the film is based on a true story, which was described by former prisoner Henri Charrier in an autobiographical book.
“Gentlemen”, 2020

Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Grant, Colin Farrell and Charlie Hunnam in one film – this is possible only with Guy Ritchie. “Gentlemen” is a witty film, reminiscent of Ritchie's early days and his “Cards, Money, Two Barrels” and “The Big Shot”. The plot centers on a British drug lord, played by McConaughey: he has built a successful marijuana empire, which he decides to put up for sale.
“Monster: The Ed Geen Story”, 2025

In the miniseries “Monster: The Ed Gein Story,” Charlie Hunnam played one of the riskiest roles of his career. In the eight-episode third season of the anthology series by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, he played Ed Gein, a murderer and grave robber whose story inspired the cult horror films “Psycho,” “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” and “The Silence of the Lambs.” Hunnam builds his character on a high, nervous voice, impeccable physical form, and restraint, which makes his hero seem not a decorative film villain, but a truly creepy, broken man. For this work, Hunnam received nominations for the Golden Globe Award, the Critics' Choice Award, and the Screen Actors Guild Award.
