A simple, effective spring manicure idea for short nails that is worth implementing this spring.

The transformations of the French manicure continue. This time, the idea of a chrome “French manicure” was proposed by Kateryna Solovey, founder of Solovey Studio.

Kateryna prepared a French manicure in her own way: she chose trendy chrome as the base coat, and made the “smile” blue. This color scheme is perfectly combined with the square shape of the nails and suits these spring days, when the sky is covered with gray clouds, through which the clear sky still peeks through.

A simple idea for an everyday manicure

“The idea for this manicure came from a desire to rethink the “French”,” says Kateryna. She admits that she adores the “French” and does it all the time – in different interpretations. “The French manicure is often simplified to a classic,” she notes, “but in fact it is a very flexible design, where you can play with color and texture. When the work seems simple, but behind this simplicity – control, experience and a very clear understanding of what you are doing – this is a high level of skill.”

Kateryna Solovey is a famous Ukrainian nail designer

Kateryna is 29, she graduated from the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture. She has been in the nail design industry for over 10 years. “My path was built on practice, mistakes and a very clear feeling that design is my story,” says Kateryna. “Over time, I realized that it is important for me not just to do design, but to shape the taste – my own and those who come to me or study with me. Solovey Studio appeared as a logical continuation of this approach.”

“I work a lot with the team because it's important to me that the studio has a single visual language. It's more difficult than just teaching techniques, but that's what gives the result that sets us apart from others. At Solovey Studio, manicure is a form of self-expression for us, not just a service.”
