In a June 2023 interview with the Atlanta Falcons, Tyler indicated that his father “was always present.”
“Reflecting on it, though, I honestly struggle to believe how much time he allocated to us,” he commented. “I simply can’t fathom how he could manage to spend time with my brother and me, attending so many of our games and significant events. He even served as an assistant baseball coach on my team one year. He consistently made the effort to be around whenever feasible.”

Initially, Carter played quarterback during his high school years before making the transition to baseball. He continued to play at various institutions, including Wabash Valley College, Volunteer State Community College, and Tennessee Tech, where he gained recognition on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

In correspondence with The New York Post, Vrabel stated, “These images depict a completely innocuous interaction, and any insinuation to the contrary is absurd. It warrants no additional clarification.”
Russini also shared a statement with the outlet, which conveyed, “The images do not accurately represent the assembly of six individuals who were present during the day. Similar to the majority of journalists in the NFL, reporters engage with sources outside of stadiums and associated venues.”
