Street style reports, runway looks, and red carpets all confirm that cobalt blue is the color of the year for 2026. Back in February, actresses Jessie Buckley and Woonmi Mosaku won the BAFTAs in a rich shade of blue. Against the backdrop of the traditional black palette of red carpets, the color acted as a visual dopamine hit.
Outside of social events, Jennifer Lawrence has integrated a cozy sweater from The Row in this shade into her impeccable off-duty wardrobe. So, it's time for shoes. How about ballet flats in the shade of a cloudless morning sky?

This is exactly the idea that Mathieu Blasi developed in his debut collection for Chanel, inspired by the solar system: from delicate powdery to electric tones, appearing in low-waisted dresses and transparent mesh skirts.

A similar mood was seen in the layered, translucent dresses and ruffled leather jackets at Chloé, and at Dior, where Jonathan Anderson, in his second show for the House, presented embellished light denim and cardigans inspired by the Bar jacket in delicate “sugar almond” shades of blue. By the way, Jessie Buckley has already appeared in a similar range, receiving the Golden Globe in a soft blue Dior dress.

And while recently all the attention was focused on brown ballet flats as the perfect transitional footwear, with the arrival of warmer days it is worth turning to models that add lightness to your step. From periwinkle to powder or rich cobalt – the blue palette becomes the very stylistic trick that works as an accent and sets the mood.
