It seems like every time this woman just looks at her hands, a new microtrend is launched somewhere in the world. Remember the mass hysteria a few years ago when all the salons begged to stop the demand for pearl powder because it simply ran out of nature? Well, Rhode's creative director and chief ambassador of the “I just woke up like this” aesthetic has rolled out the spring 2026 patch for our nails, Ukr.Media reports.
The design (as always) is the responsibility of star nail fairy Zola Hansoreith. I sincerely believe that this woman should be given a monument for her influence on the beauty industry. This time, she and Hailey went into absolute zen. No dazzling chrome or drama. Just a translucent milky base and a pearlescent polish so delicate that the camera barely catches it.
This is no longer the kind of shine that screams and reflects the sunbeams into the eyes of passersby. It's more like the energy of a girl who sleeps eight hours, drinks her matcha on almonds, never misses Pilates, and generally knows the password to her life. The new mother-of-pearl seems to be broadcasting: “I look like a million bucks, but I spent exactly three minutes getting ready while I went down for coffee.”
If you think about it, it's a brilliantly logical extension of this whole Rhode universe. Moist, glowing skin, lips that look like strawberry lollipops, and now nails that shimmer like real pearls. A total monopoly on the Clean Girl aesthetic, which has evolved into something even more sophisticated.
But you know what I'm really excited about as a pop culture observer? It's perfect for spring with its constant weather changes. In the morning you're serious in a strict trench coat, at lunch you throw on some kind of dress, and in the evening you wrap yourself in a giant hoodie because it suddenly gets cold again. And this translucent milky mother-of-pearl goes with all this visual chaos of a wardrobe.
Plus, there's no need to panic about regrowth. This isn't a red or black gel polish that, after a week and a half or two, will show everyone that you can't find a window at your nail salon. It seems like it's time for nail studios to recheck their stock of mother-of-pearl.
