What Ukrainian brands showed at Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week

Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2026/27, which took place in Bucharest from March 24 to 28, once again confirmed the Romanian capital's ambition to become one of the key fashion hotspots in Eastern Europe. The fourth season of the event brought together designers, media representatives and cultural institutions and became a platform for discussing current issues in the fashion industry, education, innovation and sustainable development. For Ukrainian brands, such platforms are of particular importance today – this is where national brands confidently enter the international market.

This season, three Ukrainian brands presented their collections at Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week: GUDU, J'amemme and TTSWTRS. Each of them works in a recognizable style and with its own vision of modern femininity. At the same time, together they form a very convincing image of what Ukrainian fashion is today. This fashion is recognizable, technically strong, conceptually thought out and ready to be part of the global system.

GUDU

GUDU's fall-winter 2026/2027 collection is called Inside the Silhouette. It is built around the idea of the silhouette as the main tool of expression. It is not just a work with form, but a statement about strength, sexuality and confidence. According to creative director Lasha Mdinaradze, the main character of this collection is a woman who understands herself well and knows exactly what she wants. Clothes do not overshadow her personality, but emphasize character, inner strength and confidence.

The main emphasis of the GUDU collection is on the construction. A clearly defined waist, accentuated shoulders and elongated lines form a new silhouette in which masculine proportions are combined with feminine grace. The collection evokes the power dressing of the 1980s, but the brand reinterprets this approach in a modern way. This is not a literal quote from the aesthetics of the past, but a precise work with graphics, clear shapes and thoughtful cuts.

GUDU achieves the desired effect thanks to several techniques. Wave Technique creates plastic wave-like reliefs that soften the severity of the cut and add movement to the silhouettes. Architectural Shoulders reinterprets the broad shoulders of the 1980s through modern sculpturality and clear geometry. One of the key images of the collection is Fatal Line, a maxi dress made of eco-leather that emphasizes the waist and elongates the silhouette.

It is worth paying special attention to the materials. Eco-leather, one of the most recognizable codes of GUDU, remains key this season. The main black color of the collection is complemented by colored taffeta and textures with a crumpled effect, which give the items depth and expressiveness. No less important is the contrast between voluminous and tight elements – a recognizable technique of the brand. It is on this that GUDU builds a balance between masculinity and femininity.

I love you

In the fall-winter 2026/2027 collection called Présence, the J'amemme brand focuses on clear shapes, proportions and materials. In it, J'amemme explores how clothing works with the body and space. The brand abandons unnecessary decor and emphasizes structure, silhouette and texture. As Yulia Yarmolyuk explains, this collection is about a state in which a woman feels confident in her body, thoughts and moment.

J'amemme reveals this idea through architectural silhouettes and clear geometric lines. The brand continues to work with its signature pleats, adding sculpturality and volume. New structured dresses with expressive shoulders and elongated proportions reinforce the geometry that is increasingly prominent in the brand's collections.

The collection's palette is based on autumnal woody shades: chocolate, caramel, moss and smoky beige. They are complemented by black and cream tones. An important role in the collection is played by eco-leather with crocodile-embossed skin and eco-fur, which give the images volume and tactility. These textures were used in outerwear, structured dresses and accessories. Accessories, including gloves and minimalist clutches, continue this line, emphasizing texture, proportions and clarity of form.

TTSWTRS

TTSWTRS presented a new stage in the development of its iconic Skin Couture concept at Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week. In the autumn-winter 2026/2027 collection, the brand continues to work with the body as the basis of the image, but does so even more precisely at the level of technique, texture and construction.

The collection is based on TTSWTRS' signature approach to the concept of a “second skin.” Sculptural appliqués, anatomical shapes, tactile reliefs and patch-like elements transform the garments into complex, multi-layered constructions. All of this is executed with couture precision and a contemporary feel.
