Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom were involved in one of the more passionate and widely viewed love affairs of the late 2000s. After their initial meeting in 2009, the pair tied the knot just a month later, beginning a quick-paced romance that would ultimately break down amid private hardships and sorrow. Even though their union officially spanned seven years, the two parted ways in 2013 — close to the period Khloé supported Lamar as he mended from a life-threatening overdose in 2015. Their split became official in 2016.

In March 2022, Lamar expressed his reflections concerning their marital time together while commenting on the Academy Awards situation involving Will Smith and Chris Rock. In a post on social media at that moment, Lamar acknowledged that he was unable to safeguard Khloé while they were married, writing that if he had done so emotionally, mentally, and in a spiritual sense, they “might still be together as husband and wife.”

During that same period, Lamar emphasized those sentiments during his stint on Celebrity Big Brother, where he openly voiced lingering affection and regret. “I simply desire to invite her for a meal and offer my apologies,” he stated, adding that he was still missing Khloé along with her family and felt he had disappointed them.

In March 2026, Lamar and Khloé individually engaged in discussion regarding his shortcomings within the docuseries, Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom.

Hereafter, we will take a more detailed view of their dating history — from energetic commencements to a highly publicized conclusion.

The Launch of Khloé & Lamar’s Romance

Khloe and Lamar connected without delay after their introduction at an event in August 2009. Twenty-one days later, he proposed, and they proceeded to get married within nine days, with the event featured in an episode of Season 4 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians titled “The Wedding.”

Following the wedding ceremony, the pair were the picture of matrimonial joy, often exhibiting affection during social outings and interviews. Khloe consistently went to his NBA games, rooting for her partner from the sidelines, despite her irritation at the notion of only being recognized for her partner’s achievements. “I’m more than simply a basketball player’s wife. I also have my own profession,” she informed ET in 2011.

A year after their marital union, the unstoppable couple gained a deal for their own reality program entitled Khloe & Lamar, which was broadcasted for two seasons.

The Dissolution of Khloé & Lamar’s Romance

In the time leading up to 2013, Lamar’s battle with narcotics was growing more noticeable, coupled with his extramarital involvements, which he would later admit. After a duration of four years of marriage in addition to an arrest due to drunk driving by Lamar, Khloe sought a divorce in December 2013.

Two years subsequently, while divorce procedures were still not finalized, Lamar was discovered unresponsive at a Nevada brothel due to a near-fatal overdose incident. Khloe and her relatives swiftly went to his side at a medical facility in Las Vegas, where he remained in a coma. Khloe ceased the divorce during that period so she could assist him in healing. Once he had recovered and it was obvious that her sentiments had not changed, she reapplied for a divorce, and it was formally concluded on December 17, 2016.

The Result of Khloé & Lamar’s Romance

Subsequent to their separation, Lamar briefly got engaged with a fitness instructor known as Sabrina Parr in 2019; however, the relationship came to an end the next year. Throughout the following years, Lamar has on occasion released posts and comments implying his ongoing affections for his previous partner. In the latter part of 2025, he even shared previous photos alongside Khloé along with introspective captions that fans perceived as evocative.

Khloé, by contrast, has mostly been focused on co-parenting with her kids — daughter True (delivered in 2018) and son Tatum (delivered in 2022) — along with her former partner Tristan Thompson.
